Case Study Text Book Utilizing Real-Life Scenarios
Throughout the course of the semester our team was responsible for completing two case studies, each representing a real-life foodservice scenario in a healthcare setting. Acting as a consulting firm, we were responsible for proposing a solution that uses research in the related field as supporting evidence. For the first case study, I assumed a leadership role, using the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, to find the research that formed the basis of our solutions and recommendations. I was able to build on this information and clearly communicate the alternative solutions our team proposed.
For the second case study, in addition to being responsible for completing part of the executive summary, I was in charge of editing the final document. I turned individual paragraphs written by six different individuals into a cohesive, comprehensive and well-written solution to the case.
