C2C

1. Rides per month

  1. The month of October had the highest number of rides taken. This can indicate peak season of the year i.e. Fall Break

  2. The month of December has the lowest number of rides taken though it’s Christmas season. This might indicate that the customers are likely to travel with their families  in the private vehicles during this time of the year.

2. Rides per weekday

  1. From graph, we can see that maximum of the rides are taken on Friday and Sunday as they mark the start and end of the weekends.

  2. At the same time we can see that minimum number of ides are taken on Saturdays which is more likely to happen as it is the middle day of the weekend.

3. Rides per day per year

  1. From graph, we can see that there are many sharp increase and decrease in the number of rides

  2. The sharp increase reflect the peak day in the month.

  3. This can provide a trend to the business users as to for which day can they increase the bus frequency

4. Reservation Status

  1. Modified Status is calculated as (reservation status = cancelled and fees = 0)

  2. It follows the same trend of having maximum completed rides during summer and fall break

5. Deferred Income and Confirmed Income

  1. Total income is calculated as amount for the ride + late fees if cancelled within 24hrs of ride + late fees if modified within 8 hrs of ride

  2. Deferred income is calculated by aggregating  the amount generated by modified bookings  

6. Pickup Location

Cornell Club and Sage Hall are the most popular place for C2C service pickup.

 

7. Dropoff Location

Cornell Club and Sage Hall are the most popular place for C2C service dropoff.

 

9. Impact of Loyalty Program on C2C ridership

The loyalty program was first introduced in June 2015, and it had a short-term positive impact on the ridership

6. Delivery Completed

  1. The number of delivery shrink during summer and winter holiday. July has the lowest delivery amount and September has the highest.

  2. There would be more delivery in Fall semester than in Spring semester.

  3. Usually, when the amount of delivery decrease, the percentage of completed delivery would increase.

7. Delivery On Time

  1. Most of the delivery are not on time.

  2. January and August have a relatively higher on-time delivery rate than other months.
